The Richmond Carvers Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of woodcarving as a hobby and an art form. Started in 1988, the Society has grown to become one of the largest in the area with a membership of over 60 carving enthusiasts.
The Club meets every Wednesday evening throughout the school year at the Hugh McRoberts High School, 8980 Williams Road at Garden City, Richmond. The meetings are in the Woodworking shop from 6:30pm to 9:00pm. If you are a carver or are interested in carving, drop in for a visit.
A newsletter is published each month, with the exception of July and August. It contains information on Society events, courses and seminars, carving shows, member news and other items of interest.

| Thank you everyone that participated in the Richmond Carvers 20th Annual Woodcarving Show at the Steveston Community Center. For pictures from the show please check out our Image Gallery. If you are interested in next year’s show feel free to drop in at our weekly Wednesday night Richmond Carvers meetings, give us a call, or send us an email. Information for the 21st Woodcarving Show will be posted on our website later this year. Thanks again to all members, volunteers, judges, our sister and brother carving organizations, and all the community members who came out to see the superb collection of carvings - without you this could not have happened. |
